SPRUCE
Palosanto wood is reputed, in the Amazonian shamanic tradition, to “cleanse the soul.” When burned, it sanitizes and deodorizes the ambient air, drives away negative energies, and snuffs out mood swings.
This incense maker's accidental encounter with Palosanto built an infatuation toward its scent. The wood at its raw state has a too strong odor to be burnt regularly. Each incense stick is formulated exclusively with diffused natural grinds of Palosanto wood: Cheem-Hyang.
중남미 열대우림에서 자라나는 팔로산토는 원주민의 토착 종교 의식에서 신성한 도구로 태워진다. 불행, 불운, 우울, 스트레스를 제거하고 몸과 마음을 정화하는 향으로 쓰인다. 리모넨 성분을 함유하여 훌륭한 방향제의 역할을 한다.
제작자는 5년 전 우연히 접한 팔로산토에 매료되어 향을 연구 개발했다. 팔로산토 원목은 단독으로는 다소 거칠어 향을 오랜 시간 음미하기 어렵다. 하여 원목을 분쇄한 후 직접 구한 침향(沈香)을 블렌딩하여 선향(線香)으로 제작했으며, 훨씬 편안하고 부드러운 향으로 완성되었다.
